This page explains what happens to the data you send us through the site: what we collect, where it goes and how long we keep it. For any question about your data, write to support@ratingup.org.
What the contact form collects
The audit request form asks for the details below. We use them only to answer your request and to send the follow-up emails described further down.
- your name
- the address of your website
- your email address or your Telegram username (you give at least one of them)
Spam protection and your IP address
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the request comes from a person. Your IP address is passed to Turnstile for that check.
Our server also counts requests per IP address to stop abuse. These counters are kept in storage for no longer than one hour and then disappear. We do not store your IP address together with your request.
Where your request goes
Your request is sent to our private working chat in Telegram. It contains what you typed into the form, including your full email address or Telegram username, so that a manager can answer you. Only our team has access to this chat.
Emails after your request
If you gave an email address, we send you a short series of emails over about a month. They are sent through SendGrid, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
When you unsubscribe, your record is deleted within 24 hours. To make sure we never write to you again, we keep one thing: a hash of your email address (a one-way code from which the address cannot be read back). This hash is kept without an end date and is used for nothing else.
How long we keep your data
A record with your name, website and email address is deleted no later than 60 days after your request, whether or not the email series is finished. If you unsubscribe, it is deleted within 24 hours as described above.
Messages in the working chat stay there until our team deletes them. You can ask us to delete them at any time
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited, and Microsoft Clarity to see anonymised recordings of how the site is used. Both start only after you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, or do not choose, they do not load.
Your choice is stored in your browser. You can change it at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer
Services that process data for us
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and the form server, and provides the spam check
- Telegram: delivers requests to our working chat
- SendGrid: sends the emails
- Google and Microsoft: analytics, only with your consent
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@ratingup.org from the address you used on the form.
